Job location: Quarrington | Sleaford| NG34 area Pay rate: 18.00-20.00 per hour, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6am-4pm | Occasionally Saturday or Sunday Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Relief Driver who will support our successful client based in the Quarrington / Sleaford NG34 area . HGV Class 2 Skip Relief Driver- Duties & Responsibilities Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive skip loaders and RoRo vehicles performing domestic and commercial waste collection. This involves delivering and collecting skips to and from customer locations, ensuring proper loading and unloading, and adhering to all relevant driving and safety regulations. This is a physically demanding role, and you'll need to be comfortable with early starts and be happy working outside all year round and in all weathers. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines. Drive and operate a skip lorry & RoRo vehicles and assisting with skip placement Safely loading and unloading skips, ensuring they are properly secured for transport Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to keep vehicles in top condition Provide excellent service and address any client enquiries professionally HGV Class 2 Skip Relief Driver- Requirements Digital tachograph card & CPC card essentials Valid Full Class 2 UK Driving Licence Good team working skills and good communication skills Flexibility to support different depots is required Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage Proven experience in skip/RoRo operations within the waste sector preferred Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including manual handling Why Join Us?
