You will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects, supporting senior colleagues while developing your technical knowledge and progressing towards RTPI Chartership.The RoleAs a Graduate Planner, you will assist in the preparation and delivery of planning work across residential, commercial, rural, and mixed-use developments.Key responsibilities include:Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applicationsDrafting planning statements and supporting documentationUndertaking site appraisals and planning policy researchSupporting appeals and pre-application enquiriesLiaising with local planning authorities, consultants, and clientsAttending site visits and meetings where requiredSupporting the team with general planning and project coordination tasksAbout YouThe successful Graduate Planner will have:A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related disciplineRTPI accredited qualification (or working towards RTPI membership)Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skillsGood knowledge of the UK planning systemExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesA proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approachWhy Apply? xjdpvnf Structured support towards RTPI ChartershipExposure to a varied and interesting project portfolioSupportive and collaborative working environmentClear pathway for career progressionFor further information on this Graduate Planner role in Shrewsbury, please contact Joel Bland at Penguin Recruitment.
