Job Title: Exhibition / Experiential Designer (Contract)Location: Remote (UK-based)Contract Type: Freelance / ContractAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a talented and driven Exhibition / Experiential Designer for a 1 year contract (could be extended). This is a fully remote role open to UK-based candidates, offering the opportunity to work on creative, high-impact exhibition and experiential design projects within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to execution, combining strong design thinking with practical delivery skills. This role suits someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple priorities, and brings creativity together with attention to detail.What You’ll DoDesign & Development (60%)Lead exhibition design projects from initial concept through to final executionCollaborate with clients to understand objectives, themes, and target audiencesDevelop floor plans, mood boards, and detailed 3D models aligned with brand identityCreate concepts for exhibition spaces, including signage, booths, banners, and displaysProduce high-quality mockups, 3D renderings, and client presentationsWork closely with designers, suppliers, and multimedia specialists to integrate all elementsEnsure designs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards (including healthcare/pharma compliance where applicable)Source materials and props, maintaining design integrity throughout productionManage budgets, timelines, and logistics across projectsReview completed exhibitions to assess engagement and optimise future designsCollaboration & Project Management (40%)Work closely with design leadership and project teams to move projects smoothly through the pipelineMaintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and external vendorsMonitor project progress and proactively resolve issuesLead and contribute to project meetingsPartner with project managers to track timelines, risks, and deliverablesFoster a collaborative and creative team environmentRequired Skills & Experience4+ years’ experience in exhibition or experiential designProven experience working on healthcare and/or pharmaceutical projects (essential)Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant sector workExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skillsProactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityDesired Skills & ExperienceDeep understanding of trade show and exhibition design processes, particularly within regulated industriesExperience working across design, fabrication, and production stagesProficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max (V-Ray), Vectorworks, and TwinmotionExperience in client-facing roles, translating feedback into actionable design solutionsFamiliarity with healthcare/pharma compliance, approval processes, and stakeholder environmentsStrong collaboration skills with the ability to balance team contribution and independent workWhy Join?Fully remote working (UK-based)Opportunity to work on impactful healthcare and pharmaceutical projectsCollaborative and supportive team environmentFlexible contract engagementInterested?Apply with your CV and portfolio showcasing relevant healthcare/pharma exhibition or experiential design work.
