Production Manager

Operations Manager / General Manager Permanent - Shrewsbury L & C Consulting are recruiting with a successful, food processing company in Shrewsbury for a new Factory Manager / Head of Production / General Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations / Production / Factory / General Manager to come on board and run the day-to-day functions of this growing manufacturing business. Playing a key part of the Senior Management Team and reporting into the Managing Director, duties will include (but not be limited to): Running a small production and Goods Out team on a daily basis Workload planning and allocation H&S QC Warehousing and stock control functions General management, training & development other efficiencies and processes Relevant applicants should have an adaptable, flexible approach, have excellent communication skills and be a dynamic, team player and motivator. You will ideally have worked in an automated, food processing environment previously (Level 3 Food Safety / SALSA experience) and be happy getting stuck in with this hands on role as well as managing strategic level operations. You will also be well organised, IT literate (Ms packages, MRP etc) and have an extremely professional approach to your work. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen CI principals are also ideal.
