Job Opportunity: Saw Technician Location: Shrewsbury Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 40 hours per week on a 4-week rotating shift pattern Pay Rate: 13.50 per hour Our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Shrewsbury , is currently seeking an experienced Saw Technician to join their production team. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and skilled individual to secure a long-term role within a supportive and fast-paced industrial environment. Shift Schedule: Week 1 & Week 2: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break) Week 3 & Week 4: Monday to Thursday, 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break) Candidates must be flexible and able to work both shift patterns. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain various types of saws for cutting aluminium and stainless steel Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders Perform precise measurements to meet job specifications Carry out routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machinery Adhere to all site safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workspace Support production efficiency through clear communication and teamwork Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Saw Technician or in a similar manufacturing role is highly preferred Skilled in operating both manual and automatic saws, especially for non-ferrous and stainless materials Able to interpret technical drawings and ensure cutting accuracy to required tolerances Strong mechanical aptitude with a proactive approach to equipment care Physically fit and capable of handling materials and machinery safely Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices Experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks is beneficial , but not essential Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including both early mornings and late evenings This position offers a competitive hourly rate, stable employment, and the opportunity to be part of a company that values attention to detail, teamwork, and safety.
