Job DescriptionManagement Accountant to work in practice, Shrewsbury Your new companyHays are working with Chartered Accountants to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team in ShrewsburyYour new roleMonthly management accounts: Prepare accurate, timely management accounts packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, commentary) in line with client timetables.Budgeting & forecastingMonthend close: Oversee postings, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets, stock, WIP, intercompany, balance sheet recs; resolve reconciling items promptly.VAT & compliance supportClient liaison: Act as the trusted finance contact; present results and insights to owners/boards; manage deliverables and expectations.Yearend & audit support: Prepare yearend packs, lead schedules, audit support, and liaison with internal/external auditors.Adhoc analysis: Pricing, margin and customer profitability analysis, costsaving initiatives, cash management strategiesWhat you''ll need to succeedQualified, part qualified or qualified by experience, with or without practice experienceGood systems experience as well as a meticulous and deadline-focused approach.You should be clientfacing, credible speaking to clients and stakeholders and able to challenge constructively and build trust quickly.What you''ll get in returnIf you''re already in practice, this role provides strong progression prospects.
