Job Description About UsFamily-owned since 1992, with 14 generations of cider-making heritage, we operate one of the UKs largest drinks production sites from our 40-acre facility in Shepton Mallet. Producing over550 million units annuallyacross six high-tech filling lines (cans, bottles, PET, kegs, and bulk liquid), we blendtraditional craftwithmodern technologyto serve major retailers and global brands.At Brothers Drinks,innovation, quality, and integrityare at the heart of everything we do and were growing. To support this growth, were expanding our engineering team and looking for aMulti-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)to help keep our production running efficiently and reliably.What Youll Be Doing:Diagnose and repair production and process equipment across all sites.Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance including wiring, fault finding, and system repairs.Work with PLCs, inverters, heating elements, servo motors, contactors, overloads, sensors (inductive, reed, proximity), and more.Perform mechanical repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, shafts, tensioners, bearings, etc.Maintain a range of equipment including high-speed packing machines, fillers, pasteurisers, printers, boxing machines, and inspection systems.Record breakdowns and maintenance activities clearly and accurately.Execute and improve pre-planned maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and support OEE targets.Contribute to ongoing performance improvements and engineering projectThis role operates on a4 on / 4 off rotating shift:12-hour shifts (6-6)2 days on, followed by2 nights onWhat Youll Need:Fully qualified maintenance engineer (ideally time-served, with City & Guilds / HNC / HND).Strong electrical experience is essential.Working knowledge of PLC systems and automated equipment.Mechanical experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and more.Good IT and record-keeping skills.FMCG or food & beverage manufacturing background preferred.Additional skills like turning, milling, or welding are advantageous.What Were Looking For:High awareness of Health & Safety and Food Safety practices.Effective communicator and team collaborator.Problem solver with initiative and a proactive mindset.Calm, professional, and focused under pressure.Committed to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.JBRP1_UKTJ
