Legal Counsel (Litigation)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established business and In House legal function, with a strong presence in the construction and property sectors. This role offers the chance to provide expert guidance and support across a range of contentious matters, engaging with key stakeholders and contributing to the overall legal strategy of the business. This role would suit candidates from a Construction, Property or Commercial Litigation background. What you'll do: Managing a broad range of litigation matters, including construction and property disputes. Advising internal stakeholders on dispute resolution strategies to minimise legal risk. Handling pre-action negotiations, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and formal litigation proceedings. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements. Liaising with and managing external legal counsel when required. Providing training and guidance to internal teams on litigation risks and best practices. Keeping up to date with relevant legal and industry developments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. What you bring: Qualified solicitor with significant experience in litigation. Background in construction or property litigation is preferred. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and work under pressure.
