Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a large, independent metals manufacturer. Due to increasing demand, they are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join their busy site in Sheffield. Duties include:- Weekly site machinery inspections and sign off Upkeep and maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment Carrying out planned maintenance checks Emergency breakdowns and repairs Daily troubleshooting Controlling breakdown / repair documentation Fitting together mechanical components, systems, and heavy machinery according to blueprints and schematics. Fabrication: Using tools like grinders, saws, and welders to cut, shape, and join metal parts. Inspection and quality control: Checking that equipment and assemblies are in good working order and meet specified standards. Skills Required: Mechanical engineering background, electrical knowledge would be an additional plus but not mandatory. This is a 39 hour paid / 41.5hr clocked week. Any overtime will be paid at time and a third in the week after the completion of 39hrs Time and a half on Saturdays and double time for Sundays. Please apply for immediate consideration.
