Locum Child Care Lawyer (Temporary Contract 3 months) Location: Town Hall based, with flexibility for remote working Duration: August October 2025 (initial 3 months, with possible extension) Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week Rate: 40-50 per hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced Child Care Lawyer to provide locum cover within a busy legal team. The role arises due to the departure of a team member, alongside current absences for maternity and sickness leave. You will play a key role in maintaining service delivery in this critical practice area. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of childcare matters, including care proceedings and related applications. Provide high-quality legal advice and representation in court. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the legal team to ensure continuity of service. Contribute to the effective handling of statutory and legislative responsibilities in childcare law. Requirements Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant practising certificate. Demonstrable experience in childcare law, including advocacy.
