Installation Manager, Gates and Barriers, North

Solar Gates are market leaders in mobile, solar powered security and site safety to the highways, construction and rail industry globally. Through constant use and development of innovative technology, our two brands, INSTABOOM and SOSEC, have been developed showcasing the worlds first mobile solar anti-incursion and overhead asset protection systems for highways and construction. Due to continued UK growth, of key client projects and the need for agility in these divisions, our service and installation team needs to be taken to the next level. We are looking for an experienced depot manager, to facilitate and undertake field work on customer sites throughout the North of England (Manchester-Notts). The Position Field work Undertake routine servicing of solar/mains gates, barriers and bollards on various customer sites Diagnosis and onsite repair following breakdown reports Perform installation and training of new equipment to customers across the UK Deliveries and collections of hire plant, liaising with head office to facilitate plant movements. Technical role Working with office admin team, provide first line customer support through scheduled calls with site operatives. Undertake customer technical support calls for all INSTABOOM and SOSEC products, for the purpose of training, assistance, and diagnosis Customer Facing Be the face of the company. As a remote located engineer, you will be a perfect advocate for the brand and customer first ethics of the company Go the extra mile to ensure customer demand is managed in an organised way The Person Creative, curious, can-do attitude. A true professional. Relevant engineering or manufacturing background in gate and barrier automation. Ideal location Manchester/Sheffield/Notts area High attention to detail with no questions attitude to quality. Hands-on experience with machine tools, fabrication and electronics assembly Experience in managing your own workload Self-starter, energetic and excellent IT skills.
