Job Description Job Title: Occupational Health TechnicianContract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)Salary: 26,325 per annum. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in a growing and rewarding industry.What Does the Role Involve?As an Occupational Health Technician, youll be part of a team that helps organisations look after the health and wellbeing of their employees. You'll drive a Mobile Testing Unit to client sites to deliver a variety of health assessments that support early detection of health issues and promote long-term wellbeing at work.Your day-to-day might include:Carrying out health surveillance tests such as:- Audiometry (hearing tests)- Spirometry (lung function tests)- Skin prick allergy testing- Vision screening- Venepuncture (blood draws) well give you full trainingPreparing and maintaining equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly and safelyIdentifying results that need follow-up and escalating them to our clinical teamSupporting health promotion initiatives, like wellness events or wellbeing campaignsHelping to improve processes, ensuring we keep our service efficient, effective, and patient-focusedCompleting clinical paperwork and updating health records accuratelyNo two days are quite the same. Youll be working independently much of the time, so being confident, organised and self-motivated is key. Throughout your role, youll be supported by a friendly, experienced clinical team every step of the way.This role is a great opportunity to get hands-on clinical experience, develop your skills, and build a solid foundation for a career in occupational health.Who we're looking for?This role is perfect for you if you:Have a degree in Sports Science, Physiology, Health & Exercise Science, or a related fieldHave a full clean UK drivers licence, able to drive and park a mobile unit at home. A special licence is not requiredAre a great communicator with excellent organisational skillsAre hands-on, motivated, and excited about improving health outcomes in the workplaceWant to build a career with purpose and progressionBonus points if you have experience as an EMT, Occupational Health Technician, or in nursing, but its not essential. Get in touch at: [email protected] InformationMobile Units:Candidates must have a full clean drivers licence, able to drive and park a mobile unit at home.Mobile units are 3.5 tons, a special licence is not required.All MU drivers will be provided with driver familiarisation training.All drivers are required to undergo a Drivers Medical.Salary and Experience:Employment with Medigold is subject to the individual undergoing a DBS check and evidence of Right to Work in the UK.Full training is provided to all candidates.Working Area:Overnight stays will be required for this location. Hotel and meal allowances are paid by the company.Working starts and finishes:Start and finish times are dependent on our client needs which can be a mixture of early, usual or late starts and some shift work between the hours of 11pm and 6am paid at a higher rate.Core hours are 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours x 5 days per week).Overtime is usually made up of travel time to and from site and paid at a higher rate.
