Youll take pride in turning new technology into robust, manufacturable machines, working across individual parts, assemblies and complete systems. Challenges will be frequent and solving them is the job.As Senior product engineer/designer you will be responsible for early development of our first dental aligner moulding machine. You will lead the way from early concepts, testing, validation all the way through to producing the first production prototype. You will wear many hats and have experience in systems design across mechanical, software and electrical. You are a born maker, experimenter and problem solver.tDesigning and developing complex mechanical systems, assemblies and full machinestDevelop processes and optimising parameters from test setupstIntegrating mechanical, electrical and software-controlled systemstBuilding, testing and iterating prototypes on the shop floor, not just in CADtRunning experiments, diagnosing failures and rapidly improving designstScaling designs from prototype to production-ready hardwaretEnd-to-end engineering project ownership: planning, dependencies, risks and mitigationtMonitoring progress and reporting clearly to senior stakeholderstManaging requirements, interfaces and traceability across assembliestEnsuring requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented through development phasestDriving design reviews and ensuring solutions follow robust engineering principlestEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirementstEvaluating build processes for effectiveness, efficiency and qualitytProviding technical leadership on test planning, execution and reportingtAssessing design maturity using performance data, FMEA and lessons learnedtOwning detail design sign-off including 3D models, drawings, tolerance stacks and engineering BOMstManaging engineering change, part approval and deviation processestWorking directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners across the globetSupporting RFQ and supplier decision-making with technical expertiseThis role spans design, build, systems thinking, project management and delivery.
