Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major highvalue industrial programme in Yorkshire.This programme forms part of a wider longterm investment in critical UK infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. It includes significant civils activity, complex integration of specialist systems, and a continually evolving scope, all delivered within an NECdriven environment.This is a technically demanding setting where strong commercial leadership, accurate cost control, and the ability to manage ongoing change are vital.What Youll Be DoingManaging the commercial performance of key work packages from procurement through to final accountAdministering NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, and change controlPreparing and reviewing CVRs, forecasts, and cost reports to support informed project decisionmakingLeading subcontract procurement tendering, negotiation, and appointmentManaging subcontractor accounts, applications, and payment processesIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycleWorking closely with operational teams to align commercial strategy with programme objectivesSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staffWhat You Will BringProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civils, infrastructure, or industrial projectsStrong working knowledge of NEC3 (ideally Option A)Demonstrated experience managing change on complex or evolving projectsStrong commercial and financial acumen, including CVRs, forecasting, and cost controlExperience managing subcontract procurement and accountsConfident communication and stakeholdermanagement skillsDegree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplineRICS membership (or working towards) is beneficialWhy This Role?Opportunity to work on a nationally significant industrial programmeExposure to a complex NEC delivery environment with meaningful commercial responsibilityLongterm project pipeline offering stability and developmentWork alongside an established and collaborative commercial teamPackageCompetitive salary + car allowancePrivate healthcareCompany pension26 days holiday plus bank holidaysFlexible benefits and wellbeing support
