Were actively looking for an experienced and diligent Quality Manager to build, manage and lead a Quality team to execute complex nuclear decommissioning works.Key Objectives:Reporting to the Project Director and Altrad UK Head of Quality, you will manage and lead a quality team in the execution of a complex nuclear decommissioning or construction projectsEnsure QA and QC compliance with legal requirements, client standards, ISO standards as well as processes and proceduresEnsure suitable governance and assurance of project including management of the audit scheduleManage Quality related KPIs for the projectAs an employer, Altrad can offer unrivalled career opportunities across the UK. As a business, we can offer opportunities across multiple markets, sectors and geographies, giving you the chance to work on some of the UKs most complex and challenging projects, as a part of the ever growing and ever talented, Altrad team.Main Role Activities & Outputs:Ensure QA and QC compliance with legal requirements, client standards, ISO standards as well as processes and proceduresDevelop project-specific quality plans / operating procedures to comply with project requirementsManage QA/QC team to ensure adoption of pragmatic approach to assurance of Quality on all phases of the Project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning or Decommissioning, taking cognisance of commercial, schedule and budget constraintsManagement of internal and external Audits, both on and off site, in accordance with the project audit scheduleManagement of supply chain quality, inclusive of all pre-qualification assessments, supply chain audits, inspections, supply chain performance and lifetime quality record compilationMonitoring of performance against Quality KPIsEssential Qualifications & Experience:HND/NVQ Level 5 (preferably in a related subject)/CQI Diploma or significant and related professional experience; would satisfy the requirements of professional registration (e.g. Chartered Member) of a professional institution (e.g. CQI)Experience in the application of relevant quality management system standards (ISO 9001) Knowledge of the requirements of GS-R-3 (management systems for nuclear installations)Experienced in investigation to determine root cause, learning, proposed improvements and verification of implementation of preventative measures to prevent recurrence of failureExperienced in implementation of risk-based QA/QC arrangements and controls proportionate to the assigned Quality Grade and the link to maintaining Nuclear SafetyEffective Report Writing and Communication SkillsProven background in a similar role managing QA/QC personnel within a highly regulated industryDesirable Qualifications & Experience:Lead Auditor Qualification e.g. ISO9001 Knowledge and application of Pressure Equipment Directive/ Safety Regulations; EN1090, ISO 3834-2 and other sector specific Quality Standards Application of ISO19443If the above role isnt quite right for you or youre not ready to apply just yet, why not reach out for a confidential discussion to see what life at Altrad is really like. xjdpvnf Our Recruitment team are always on hand to answer any questions.
