We call this commitment Care by Design.About the roleA Respiratory Devices Territory Manager at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare means being a trusted clinical advisor, building relationships and changing clinical practice. Our current opportunity is working with clinicians within the sleep, respiratory and community environment to optimise patient care for chronic respiratory patients with a view to supporting a successful discharge, preventing respiratory exacerbations and improving quality of life. The Territory would cover Scotland and the NE of England (including Darlington, James Cook, Carlisle and Newcastle). We operate a project-based approach to maximise time supporting customers. You will have 3 to 5 years experience in either a medical sales role where you are able to navigate the NHS purchasing process and have a proven track record; or experience in a clinical role with a background in sleep, respiratory physiotherapy or nursing, specialising in chronic respiratory care. Regularly meeting with clients to build awareness of their region, understand their needs, observe competitor activity, and to deliver planned training sessions with healthcare professionals. Participate in regular monthly Business Review.Meet / exceed sales / KPI targets. Regularly analyses, tracks and reports on territory, monitoring sales KPIs, using CRM and Power BI data. Identify business growth area, align sales strategies and tactical plans to develop long term strategic partnerships.Build relationships with clinicians, Key Opinion Leaders, and healthcare professionals. Network at trade shows and conferences to leverage their support to gain new advocates.Develops and maintains supportive, productive and effective relationships at all levels within the organisationContinuous professional development to keep up to date with developments in the NHS, healthcare services products and research. Keep up to date with clinical data in order to interpret, present and discuss this data with healthcare professionals during presentations.Key competencies for successA track record of success selling a technical or clinical device into respiratory wards alongside an understanding of purchasing routes with procurement .3 years at least of sales or complimentary experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in medical or healthcare industry.or3 years within a clinical role where education and patient care is a key, experience as a clinical physiologist in sleep, respiratory physiotherapist or respiratory nurse / senior nurse working with patients who have chronic lung disease.A high level of selling, commercial acumen and negotiating skillsUnderstanding of the procurement processA high level of selling, commercial acumen and negotiating skillsAdept at using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and dataIn-depth knowledge of sales strategy, product demonstration and sales reportsExcellent verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clientsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamCustomer service focusGood IT and administration skills to include literacy in Excel and data analysis appropriate to the roleDesirable experience:Previous experience working within the sleep / OSA field or chronic respiratory field.If this role looks like a good career move for you, we would love to hear from you!Further information about our products, therapies and education can be found on
