Senior Associate / Director – Non-Contentious ConstructionEdinburgh or Glasgow – Hybrid WorkingPermanent, Full-TimeExperience – 6+ years PQE An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Director-level construction lawyer (6+ years' PQE) to join a leading UK law firm’s non-contentious construction team, working on landmark property development and energy infrastructure projects across the country.This role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with a focus on high-value, technically complex advisory work. The successful candidate will bring deep sector knowledge and strong drafting and negotiation skills, along with the ability to supervise others and contribute to team strategy.Key Responsibilities:Advising on the construction aspects of major property developments and regeneration schemesDrafting and negotiating building contracts, development agreements, consultant appointments, bonds and guaranteesSupporting the delivery of engineering and renewable energy projects (e.g. wind, hydro, solar, battery storage, tidal)Acting for a diverse client base: developers, contractors, public bodies, funders, consultantsLeading on complex matters with minimal supervision, while providing mentoring and oversight to junior colleaguesWhat You’ll Bring:At least 6 years' PQE in non-contentious construction lawExcellent drafting, analytical, and communication skillsStrong client relationship-building abilities and a commercial approachProven capability to handle major transactions and coordinate multi-party projectsExperience or interest in business development, thought leadership, and trainingIf you’re an experienced construction lawyer looking to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, we’d love to hear from you.
