Machinery Buyer | Near Saxmundham | Up to £38,000 + Excellent Benefits + Hybrid WorkingWe’re hiring a Machinery Buyer to join a progressive procurement team within a well-established, agriculture-focused organisation.This is more than a typical buying role — you’ll have real influence over supplier strategy, lead a small team, and support a loyal member network with expert, unbiased advice.Essential: You must have proven experience and knowledge of agricultural machinery — particularly tractors and combine harvesters.Essential Experience & Knowledge:Buying/procurement experience in agriculture, machinery, vehicles, or engineeringStrong understanding of agricultural equipment, especially tractors and combine harvestersExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsOffice experience, Organised, IT literate, and able to manage multiple tasks effectivelyWhat You’ll Be Doing:Sourcing and negotiating purchases of farming machinery, tractors, vehicles, and related servicesBuilding and managing supplier relationships to improve pricing, service, and innovationProviding hands-on advice to members, ensuring products match their operational needsIdentifying commercial opportunities to broaden the product offeringLeading and mentoring a small, capable teamManaging supplier data, contracts, and processes to maintain high standardsWhat You’ll Bring:Experience in procurement or buying within agriculture, machinery, vehicles, or engineeringIn-depth understanding of farming equipment, especially tractors and combine harvestersStrong negotiation and commercial skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesOrganised, IT-savvy, and confident working both independently and collaborativelyWhat’s on Offer:Up to £38,000 salary7% non-contributory pensionHybrid working (up to 2 days from home)22 days holiday + bank holidaysHealthcare cash plan, life insurance, enhanced family leaveCycle to work scheme, social events & moreIf you're a commercially minded Buyer who lives and breathes agricultural machinery, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a people-first business and make a real impact.Apply now or contact Katie Dobson for a confidential chat.
