CPL are working with a Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing organisation in their search for an Environment, Health and Safety Assistant to join their team in Sandwich.SummaryThis is a critical role when it comes to supporting compliance with UK EHS regulations and internal standards across R&D sites, helping maintain safe systems, documentation, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) are followed; review RAMS, issue permits, and stop unsafe work.Coordinate statutory inspections and track follow‑up actions.Support audits and perform regular workplace inspections.Maintain Declaration of Conformity documentation.Assist with risk assessments and implementation of safety measures.Participate in change control to assess and mitigate EHS risks.Conduct initial reviews of incidents, near misses, and good saves; support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.Manage the UK R&D EHS inbox and contribute to safety communications.Support creation and review of EHS procedures and performance reporting.Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of UK EHS regulations, risk assessments, incident investigation, SSOW.Strong organisation, communication, and documentation skills.Attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.Qualifications & ExperienceNEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).Practical EHS experience; pharmaceutical experience beneficial.For more information, please get in touch or message jamie.keith@
