Job Description Avionic Technician (B2) PermanentLocation: Salisbury Salary: 44,000 per annumShift Pattern: Monday - Friday Contract Type: PermanentAbout the RoleDCS Engineering is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected specialist aviation organisation supporting complex and technically demanding airborne programmes. This organisation operates across several UK sites and is entering an exciting new phase of a long-term aviation and defence programme.Due to continued expansion, they are seeking experienced Avionic Technicians (B2) to join their engineering team at a key operational site in Salisbury . This is a rare opportunity to work within a unique test, development, and specialist flying environment, supporting a highly specialised aircraft platform.The OpportunityAs an Avionic Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and availability. Working closely with Licensed Engineers and reporting to the Station Engineer, you will support both scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory and organisational standards.Although operating on a structured Monday - Friday, the role offers excellent worklife balance within a professional weekday environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Licensed Aircraft Engineers with scheduled and unscheduled maintenanceCarry out routine inspections and assist with defect rectificationSupport avionics modification and upgrade programmesAccurately record all maintenance activities in line with regulatory requirementsMaintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisationEnsure full compliance with quality, safety, and airworthiness proceduresProvide support at other UK sites when operationally requiredAircraft & TrainingInitial work will be on Boeing 757 aircraftExperience on Boeing aircraft is advantageousCandidates without direct 757 experience will be consideredFunded type training provided where requiredAccommodation supplied during training periodsPlanned future progression onto Boeing 737 NGAbout YouWe are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:Avionics (B2)You will ideally have:Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or Avionic TechnicianExperience working on large commercial aircraft (essential)Background within a Part 145 MRO environmentStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentationHigh attention to detail with a strong safety and quality mindsetGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a teamWhats on Offer44,000 basic salary25 days annual leave plus bank holidays from day one5% matched pension schemeGroup Life InsuranceHealth & wellbeing benefits including Healthcare Cash Plan & EAPFully funded type training and accommodation during trainingDiversity & InclusionOur client, supported by DCS Engineering, is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
