Test Engineer

As we continue to strengthen our engineering capabilities, we are looking to recruit an experienced Test Engineer to join our team in Salisbury.Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for testing and verifying the companys manufactured power supply units (PSUs) and control equipment to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity and reputation of our products, supporting both development and production testing.Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant will be required to undergo DBS clearance . Job Responsibilities Test a wide range of products designed by Gresham Power. Operating voltages typically from 24v DC to 440v AC. Test PCBs, Sub-assemblies, and main equipment. To work to production test procedures and record results. Responsible for developing and up-dating Test Specifications where necessary for approval by the Chief Engineer. To work with our engineering designers to identify requirements and perform verification and acceptance tests. To be familiar with part numbering systems for Bills of Materials and drawings. Consult with Engineering and Production departments. Test and calibration of precision control test equipment. Full Survey and repair of equipment and generate survey reports. Job Skills & Qualifications Electrical/Electronic Engineering (ONC, NVQ Level 3 or higher). Experience of testing power supplies, power and control electronics products which are manufactured in house. Soldering of plated through-hole and surface mount devices. Fault finding to component level, repair, and testing. Testing using a wide range of precision test equipment including DMMs, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, signal generators and test rigs. Excellent technical communication skills with engineers and manufacturing personnel. Strong diligence and mathematical abilities. Familiar with relevant Standards. Ability to work to deadlines with an elevated level of accuracy. A dependable, conscientious, and hard work mindset. Can do attitude. Interpret electrical and electronic circuit drawings. PC Skills including Microsoft Office. Hands on test engineer able to develop test methods and associated test rigs.Job Type: Full-timePay: 36,000.00-44,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
