Job Description This is a standout opportunity for an engineer who wants to move beyond being just another manufacturing engineer and start building a career in compliance, product approval and high-reliability engineering.We are recruiting aCompliance & Production Engineerfor a growing, export-focused manufacturer supplying specialist products into high-security, public sector and international markets. In this environment, products must not only work they must meet strict technical, regulatory and quality standards. This role plays a key part in making sure they do.If you have a formal engineering education and 12 months + experience in manufacturing, production, quality or technical engineering, this is the kind of role that will fast-track your development into a highly valuable technical specialist.What makes this differentThis is not a narrow, desk-based compliance role. You will be right in the middle of how products are: Designed, tested, approved, manufactured, improvedYoull work alongside experienced Technical, Compliance and Production Engineering leaders, gaining exposure to areas that most engineers dont see until much later in their careers. Its an ideal step for someone who wants to build a reputation as a go-to engineer for quality, compliance and manufacturability.What youll be doingYou will support the full lifecycle of products from early prototype through to production and certification.Compliance & Product ApprovalsHelping prepare products for third-party testing and certificationOrganising in-house prototype builds and testingSupporting the maintenance of technical files, certificates and compliance recordsWorking with external approval bodies and test housesKeeping track of renewals and changing standards across UK, EU and export marketsProduction & EngineeringSupporting the transition of new products into manufactureHelping develop and improve how products are builtCarrying out process audits on the shop floorIdentifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and costQuality & Continuous ImprovementSupporting investigations into product and process failuresHelping identify root causes and corrective actionsWorking with Quality and Production teams to reduce scrap, rework and returnsWho this suitsThis role is ideal for someone who has:A degree or Level 6 apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similarAt least 12 months experience in:ManufacturingProduction EngineeringQualityComplianceOr a technical engineering environmentStrong attention to detailAn interest in how products are tested, approved and controlledA mindset geared towards problem-solving and continuous improvementYou dont need to be a compliance expert yetbutyou do need the engineering foundation and the ambition to become one.The role is an excellent opportunity for someone on the upward curve of their career, wanting to join an evolving Design & Manufacturing firm who can offer a clear pathway into senior engineering, compliance or technical leadership role.Our client is investing in someone it can develop into a core technical specialist.
