HEAD SCIENCE TECHNICIAN Salisbury Required : Negotiable Hours : 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 04:30pm, Monday to Thursday,and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Fridays Weeks: 39 weeks per year (44.66 paid weeks) Salary : BWS Support Staff pay scale Grade | Points 29 31 (33,011- 36,587) Actual pay : (28,273- 31,336) Pension : Local Government Pension Scheme Deadline for Application : Sunday 12 April 2026 Bishop Wordsworths School is seeking an experienced and forward thinking Head Science Technician to lead anddevelop our Science Technician team and ensure the highest quality technical support for teaching and learningacross the Science Department.This post arises following a vacancy in Chemistry and offers an opportunity for an experienced technician, ideally withexperience in Chemistry, to bring fresh perspective, leadership and expertise to a large and successful department.The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians supporting Physics, Biology, Key Stage 3 and Chemistry,alongside a Assistant Laboratory Technician. The role is both strategic and hands on, with responsibility for managingpeople, systems and resources in the best interests of students and the curriculum.
