HGV Class 2 Skip Driver BONUS: 250 after 2 weeks work Location: Salford, M6 area Pay Rate: 14.29 per hour Overtime Rate: 17.86 per hour (after 45 hours per week) Job Type: Full-Time Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays) About the Role: Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client - a well-established and respected name in the waste management sector. We are seeking two experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Drivers to join their team in Salford . This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and safety-conscious professionals to be part of a team committed to sustainability and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles (Skip & RoRo) for waste collection and delivery. Plan routes effectively to maximise efficiency. Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects. Maintain accurate digital records using an on-board tablet system. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and road traffic regulations. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain site tidiness. Support recycling and waste diversion goals. Flexibility to work MondayFriday with occasional Saturday shifts. Requirements: Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence. Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card . Experience in waste management or a similar industry preferred. Able to perform manual handling tasks as required by the role. Strong communication and customer service skills. A commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork. What's in It for You?
