As part of this role, you will support the Strategic Finance Manager and service management team in developing budget strategies, and provide expert financial advice and support to the Council.Duties will include;Preparing, analysing, and presenting financial information to contribute to the preparation of accountsProviding high-quality financial analysis to support strategic decision makingDeveloping and maintaining financial monitoring systemsDeveloping influential and effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the CouncilSupporting and supervising the Finance team, including the coaching and development of junior staff membersPerson:The successful Finance Manager:Fully Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience), with significant accounting and commercial experienceDemonstratable understanding of management accounting, budgeting, and forecastingProven business partnering skillset with the ability to build influential relationships at senior levelExperience of producing statement of accounts and setting corporate budgets (desirable)Public Sector Finance experienceTo apply for this position please use the link provided, or for more information contact Matthew Swindell or Sydney Seddon at Castlefield Recruitment.
