Job DescriptionNestled in the stunning South Devon countryside, this thriving holiday park is looking for a creative and commercially minded Event Business Development Manager to lead its event and partnership strategy. With spectacular coastal surroundings and a strong local reputation, the park is now focused on deepening its engagement with the community and attracting new events and collaborations to enhance the guest experience year-round.The Role:This is a dual-focused role, combining hands-on event management with strategic business development. Youll be responsible for identifying, planning, and delivering a range of events that bring energy and footfall to the parkeverything from food festivals and wellness retreats to local craft markets and seasonal celebrations.At the same time, youll build strong relationships with local businesses, tourism bodies, and community groups to position the park as a hub for collaboration and activity.Key Responsibilities:Planning and executing a varied calendar of on-site eventsSecuring local suppliers, entertainers, and vendors to enhance the offeringDeveloping partnerships with businesses to host functions, workshops, and brand activationsManaging budgets, marketing plans, and post-event evaluationsActing as an ambassador for the park within the Salcombe and wider Devon communityThe Person:We are looking for a confident, outgoing personality and a flair for building connections. Ideally, youll bring a background in events, hospitality, or destination marketing, and a proven track record of creating memorable experiences that drive commercial results.Strong project management skills and a hands-on approach are a mustthis is a role where youll be just as comfortable liaising with a local brewery as you are setting up a marquee or pitching a partnership idea.Skills & Experience:Proven experience in event planning and/or business developmentExcellent interpersonal and relationship-building skillsA good understanding of the local area and seasonal tourism patternsOrganised, proactive, and comfortable working independentlyPassion for community engagement and local partnershipsAdditional Information:Performance-related bonusFlexible working with some weekend or evening hours as events requireGenerous holiday allowance and park-based benefitsA chance to play a key role in shaping a unique local destinationLocation: South Devon Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 depending on experience Work Arrangement: Office Based PMR is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all recruitment practices.
