Job Description

Stores Coordinator sought by a recycling facility in Runcorn. This subsidiary of an international, £multibillion turnover polymer manufacturer is focused on growing the circular economy and they see innovation within PVC recycling as pivotal to their global sustainability strategy.The Role:Known formally in the business as Vehicle Maintenance & Stores Coordinator, you will ensure uninterrupted operations and maintenance of high standards of safety and compliance. You will manage the ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing of parts and materials for the recycling plant and vehicle fleet, ensuring accurate inventory control using Sage 200 and coordinating the maintenance and servicing of the company’s vehicle fleet. Your duties will include:Inventory and Stores ManagementReceive and inspect all incoming critical spare parts and goods, ensuring accuracy and qualityMonitor and maintain appropriate stock levels to avoid shortages and excessEnsure correct storage and labelling of parts and materialsIssue parts to production and maintenance teams in a timely mannerConduct periodic stock counts and reconciliationsLiaise and build relationships with 3rd party suppliers ensuring high service standards are maintainedSchedule and coordinate routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of the vehicle fleetLiaise with external service providers and garages to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance, building relationships with 3rd party suppliers to ensure high service standards are maintainedMaintain detailed records of vehicle history, service intervals, and compliance documents(MOT, insurance, tax)Coordinate lease hire equipment agreements and insurance arrangements with 3rd party suppliers to ensure complianceOrder and manage parts and consumables needed for vehicle maintenanceThe successful Stores Coordinator will have the following experience:Demonstratable experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, recycling or warehouse environmentFamiliarity with vehicle maintenance coordinationKnowledge of stock control processesFull driving licenceProficiency in Microsoft Office PackagesGCSE‘s or equivalent in Maths and EnglishStrong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with all levels.The following are desirable but not essential:Relevant NVQ or technical qualificationsForklift licence or willingness to obtainKnowledge of SAGE systemsKnowledge of health and safety best practicesBenefits:£26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pmEarly Friday finish if 37.5 hours worked in weekFlexibility on working hours where possibleTime off in lieuPension schemeFree flu jabsHealth & wellbeing32 days holidays including bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 2 years’ service Option to buy and sell holiday Cycle to Work schemeLong service awardsCompany rewards platformEmployee assistance programmeInternal training academyAccess to external training and supported educationSocial culture and eventsStores CoordinatorRuncorn, Cheshire£26,000 - £30,000 + benefitsStock Controller | Inventory Controller | Inventory Coordinator | Inventory Clerk | Inventory Manager | Stock Manager | Parts Management | Parts Advisor | Stock Assistant | Inventory Assistant | Fleet management | Vehicle Fleet | Vehicle Management | Fleet Maintenance | Maintenance Coordinator | Engineering Stores | Recycling
