This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of forklifts and material handling equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations for clients.All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and repair diesel, LPG, and electric forkliftsDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faultsCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairsTest and commission forklifts and other material handling equipmentMaintain accurate service and maintenance recordsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and safe use of PPEProvide technical advice and support to clients on-siteRequirementsProven experience as a forklift or material handling engineerStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skillsExperience with counterbalance, reach, and order picker forkliftsAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manualsFull UK driving licenceExcellent communication skills and a professional approachAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Manufacturer-specific training or accreditationExperience with major forklift brands xjdpvnf (e.g., Toyota, Linde, Hyster, Crown, Still)NVQ or equivalent in mechanical/engineering maintenanceExperience with heavy industrial or warehouse equipmentBenefitsCompetitive salary 38,000 42,000 per annumCompany vehicle or fuel allowanceOvertime opportunitiesTechnical and manufacturer trainingCareer progression within a growing businessPension scheme and holiday allowance
