Quality Inspector Engineering Industry Rugby - Permanent 35,000 - 36,000+ Benefits and yearly Bonus NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading UK engineering business who provide electrical and mechanical design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance solutions across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. They're on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to join their Rugby Operations Workshop, ensuring that quality processes are followed to the highest standards and continuously improved. This role will see you embedded in a hands-on environment where precision, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset are key. Key Responsibilities: Carry out precise measuring and inspection tasks using equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and dial gauge indicators. Inspect components against engineering drawings and perform reverse engineering when required. Conduct incoming material inspections, goods receipt checks, and final product verifications. Approve and record results across all stages of production, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with corrective and preventative actions following quality issues. Participate in internal and external audits, including supplier visits for process and quality checks. Manage calibration control of measuring and inspection gauges. Promote a strong quality culture across the business and identify opportunities for training and development. Support the Quality Manager in maintaining compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS). Requirements: Background in mechanical or electrical engineering. Proven experience using traditional mechanical measuring tools. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T principles. Hands-on experience inspecting components and producing detailed reports. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. Confident using Microsoft Office and ideally ERP systems. Knowledge of rotating machinery. A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for driving quality standards forward. Flexibility to work extended hours in the workshop when required.
