About the role Are you Interested in shaping the economic future of one of the fastest growing towns in the Midlands? We are looking to recruit an exceptional and dynamic of economic development professional to assist with our growth and regeneration agenda. You will be working as part of a dedicated team to engage and work in partnership with a range of organisations to ensure that we have the best possible business support and inward investment offer, complimented by a skills infrastructure to nurture and develop our businesses and their workforce. We want to attract high quality jobs to Rugby ensuring that our residents have the skills to take advantage of these opportunities. To achieve this, youll be supporting the promotion of Rugby Borough as a great place to do business, visit and live, ensuring that relevant business programmes and support mechanisms are targeted to support Rugby businesses and a collaborative support network is fostered, supporting the Boroughs economic development aspirations and the regeneration of Rugby Town Centre. About you To be successful in this role youll need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by town centre businesses in the current economic climate and have the ability to connect with and support local businesses, stakeholders and partners.
