Maintenance Operative

We are hiring a Maintenance Operative at Target Housing to join our team Location; South Yorkshire Job Type: Full-Time, permanent Application Deadline : 17th October 2025 About us Target Housing is a charity and registered social landlord. Working hours are generally 8am to 4.30pm with a 20-minute unpaid lunch break. We offer A salary of 25,5535. You will get an initial 28 days Annual Leave with an additional day a year up to 33 days leave, PLUS 8 Bank Holidays. The Job Role To carry out repairs and maintain Target Housing properties and grounds as part of our general maintenance team. Specific Tasks & Responsibilities Undertake all property repairs within agreed response times When required move furniture and white goods in and out of properties To clean work area after the completion of any tasks Be in readiness for scheduled and reactive repairs To assist with the management of stock. Communicate timeframes with Property Admin Manager and or Team Leader Report repair orders back to Property Admin Team once completed along with any further works required, in the agreed format Ensure that any health and safety or repair issues are recorded and communicated to Team Leader Undertake training as required Attend team meetings Understand and implement Targets Policy and Procedures Understand confidentiality and its implications for the companys work with clients To have access to and fully understand the risks posed by client group and report any risks identified Property Admin Manager.
