Production Programmer & CAD Technician

About the Role Adept Resourcing is proud to be recruiting for a leading steel industry business, offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic production team operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This is not a design role, instead, you will be at the heart of end to end production, accurately interpreting customer specifications, producing digital drawings, and generating machine-ready files to keep production running smoothly. You will work with a variety of plate profiling equipment, ensuring precision, efficiency, and on-time delivery. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in programming, workflow continuity, and supporting the production team as the company continues to invest in cutting-edge technology and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Program and prepare files for plate profiling equipment including plasma, laser, and oxy-fuel machines. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in machine-specific programming. Monitor and manage raw material and consumable stock levels, reordering as required. Maintain operational readiness of machinery. Process customer orders accurately, meeting specifications and delivery deadlines. Interpret technical drawings with strong attention to detail. Use 2D CAD software (SigmaNEST experience desirable) to create and modify technical layouts. Provide programming and drawing support to the production team. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
