Job Description SummaryAn experienced commercial professional is sought to lead and grow a specialist technical equipment hire division supporting infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors. This role combines strategic business development, key account management, and operational oversight within a consultative engineering solutions environment.About the ClientOur Client is a specialist engineering solutions provider delivering technical equipment and services to infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors across the UK.The organisation supports customers with engineered solutions used in complex operational environments.The business is expanding its hire division and is seeking a commercially driven individual to lead its continued growth.The culture is collaborative, combining technical expertise with a strong commercial focus.Roles/ResponsibilitiesDrive the strategic growth and profitability of the technical equipment hire divisionDevelop new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing key customer accountsTake ownership of the divisions commercial performance including P&L responsibilityIdentify opportunities where equipment hire solutions support customer operations or project deliveryWork closely with engineering, sales, and operational teams to deliver technically and commercially viable solutionsMonitor fleet utilisation to ensure equipment is deployed efficiently and profitablyCoordinate equipment deployment, servicing, and turnaround with operational teamsSupport project teams where hire equipment forms part of larger engineering solutionsEstablish and manage hire pricing aligned with market opportunitiesProvide market insights and customer feedback to support future business developmentQualificationsProven experience in technical, consultative, or solution-based salesBackground working with equipment used in utilities, water, environmental, or industrial sectorsExperience in sectors such as wastewater treatment equipment, pump systems, dewatering equipment, filtration systems, or industrial process equipment is highly relevantStrong commercial awareness with the ability to manage accounts and develop long-term customer relationshipsExcellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholdersPractical and commercially minded approach to problem solvingValid UK driving licence requiredBenefitsCompetitive salary (45,000 55,000 depending on experience)Performance-related bonus structureCompany car or car allowanceGenerous benefits packageOpportunity to lead and shape a growing hire divisionHigh level of autonomy with direct impact on business growthCollaborative engineering and commercial team environmentIf you are interested in exploring this opportunity further, please contact our recruitment team directly to discuss your experience and suitability for the role.
