The RoleYoull play a critical part in keeping production running smoothly by combining planned preventative maintenance, responsive faultfinding and continuous improvement activity across plant and machinery.Working closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams, youll ensure electrical systems are safe, compliant and reliable reducing downtime and supporting longterm performance. What Youll Be DoingCarrying out PPM on electrical systems and production equipmentDiagnosing and repairing electrical faults on machinery, plant and control systemsMaintaining and troubleshooting motors, drives, sensors, control panels and distribution systemsSupporting PLCcontrolled and automated equipmentResponding quickly to breakdowns to minimise production disruptionInspecting and testing electrical installations to BS 7671 (18th Edition)Supporting installation, commissioning and upgrades of electrical systemsEnsuring compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and site proceduresMaintaining accurate maintenance records and compliance documentationIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunitiesLiaising with production teams, engineers, contractors and suppliersSupporting product development and reviewing wiring diagrams and technical documentation What Youll Be Accountable ForReliable electrical operation with minimal unplanned downtimeFull regulatory and safety compliance across all electrical workEffective, sustainable resolution of electrical faultsContinuous improvement in asset reliability and efficiencyActing as a trusted technical expert within the business What Were Looking ForYoull be an experienced Electrical Engineer from an industrial or manufacturing background, comfortable working in a live production environment.Essential:Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent)Experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settingsStrong electrical faultfinding and diagnostic skills18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)Strong safety awareness and regulatory knowledgeFlexible approach to working hours (including outofhours when required)Confident communicator and team playerDesirable:PLC diagnostics and basic programming experienceInspection & Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391)Experience with automation, drives and control systemsFamiliarity with CAD or electrical design software What We OfferCompetitive salary + bonusPension, health insurance, SIPS & staff discountsStable, established manufacturing environmentVaried, technically interesting workSupportive engineering and production teamsOpportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and equipment upgradesPart of a growing, wellrespected group (Luceco Group) Apply now to join CMD Ltd and play a key role in supporting highquality, compliant manufacturing operations.
