Title: Aluminium Window and Door Estimator Description: The role of the Aluminium Window and Door Estimator is to prepare cost estimates by analyzing tenders and requirements. Liase with Clients and architects on estimates. Planning, organising, and controlling projects from start to finish with Customers, Clients, Fabricators, and Installation Teams, responsible for the procurement and purchasing of materials to fulfil project. Delegating where necessary to ensure the smooth running of projects. Using Genesis V6 Systems. Logical quoting engine would be an advantage. This job position is not a remote working position. Applicant would need to be working in our office Monday - Friday. Duties and Responsibilities: Read technical documents to prepare estimates Collaborate with architects, clients, and contractors on estimates Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Gather information on materials needed, Labour required, and another factor. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information for clients. Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data. Develop project plans for the duration of the project Issue drawings and work instructions for fabrication Responsible for procurement and purchasing activities on projects Estimate the Aluminum curtain wall, shopfront and domestic window and door sector including Bifolding doors, sliding patios French doors and vertical sliding windows. Using Comar and Smarts estimating software to generate detailed quotations, leading to creating full 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD LT for fabrication support and customer sign off. Offering advice and solutions to clients.
