Romsey, Hampshire (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) ? 6-Month Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Romsey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving financial excellence, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for overseeing core finance operations while contributing to process improvements and ensuring robust financial control across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, inventory, fixed assets) Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial statements Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and controls Oversee treasury and cash management activities Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles Manage internal and external audits , ensuring compliance Oversee tax matters , including VAT Lead and develop the financial reporting team Partner with stakeholders and support the Finance Director Analyse financial data, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable insights Key Requirements Fully qualified accountant ( ACA, ACCA, or CIMA ) Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Strong background in group reporting and financial statements Experience managing end-to-end finance operations Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) Experience with ERP systems (IFS desirable) Advanced Excel skills Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders What We're Looking For A hands-on finance leader who can take ownership Someone who can drive process improvements and change Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment Why Apply?
