Manufacturing Engineer – PCB SpecialistLocation: Rochester, Kent (Hybrid)£40,000 - £47,000 + excellent benefitsAs part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of current and future products across our entire product range and the full programme lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering you will use your knowledge and experiences to support our manufacturing systems and processes during initial bid, new product introduction, production and repair to ultimately ensure product quality is met within schedule and budget targets.What you’ll be doing: Manufacturing Engineer – PCB SpecialistCollaborate with the design and engineering teams at the earliest stages to ensure PCB designs comply with IPC standards and are manufacturable within existing production processesProvide ongoing support during the development stages, offering insights and recommendations to improve design for manufacturability and production efficiencyTake ownership of PCB new product builds, ensuring they meet manufacturing standards and provide valuable insights for continuous product improvementWork with PCB Process Engineering team to implement improvements to PCB processes that enhance manufacturability and efficiency. Where appropriate consider roadmap to future technology and seek buy in from senior leadershipOwn the PCB Design for Manufacturability (DFM) process, ensuring engagement with engineering teams to communicate the capabilities and limitations of PCB production at the Rochester facilityYour skills and experiences: Manufacturing Engineer – PCB SpecialistEssential:HNC in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Extensive experience in PCB design, DFM processes, and manufacturingExperience with CAD software, PCB design tools, and Bill of Materials (BOM) managementDesirable:Ability to drive continuous improvement within the PCB design processKnowledge of the latest trends and technologies in PCB manufacturing and design
