Job Description Role: Lead Systems EngineerLocation: Rochester, Kent HybridSalary: 60,000 - 65,000 depending on experience + benefitsExperienced Lead Systems Engineer needed in Rochester to work on cutting edge systems within the aerospace industry.What the role of the Lead Systems Engineer entails:Some of the main duties of the Lead Systems Engineer will include:Providing guidance to less experienced engineers, supporting team members wellbeing and career developmentCollaborating to uncover technical solutions and sharing recommendationsContributing to strategic project aspects and facilitating implementation of initiativesUnderstanding scope, size and time phasing of packages of work, how these contribute to project successUnderstanding the team size and skillset required, giving regular status and recommendations on resourcing requirements to the project and functional engineering managerUnderstanding and enabling dependencies or facilities required across the teamSupporting the business by creating new estimates for bids and maintaining the schedule and budget for on-going projectsWhat experience you need to be the successful Lead Systems Engineer:Essential:Experience in the systems engineering domain and product lifecycleFamiliarity with system engineering tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, MATLAB and/or SimulinkExperience leading a team and making decisions from either a technical or managerial aspectA degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or Mathematics)Desirable:Experience leading and managing a system engineering team in relevant product marketsExperience in integration, test, and/or verification of real time and/or safety related systemsAn understanding of information assurance, cyber security and environmental impact aspects relating to real time embedded engineering productsBenefits: Overtime, 14% pension, 25 days holiday, free shares and more!Please note: Due to security restrictions we can only consider Sole UK Nationals for this position.This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer to progress their career.
