Job Description Job Title: FPGA EngineerLocation: Rochester, Kent, UKRole Type: PermanentSalary: 45,000 - 65,000 + BenefitsOur client, an established electronics engineering firm, require an experienced FPGA Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team in Rochester, Kent, UK.You will be a member of a dedicated team of experts responsible for the design and verification of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). You will develop digital and mixed-signal electronic solutions for products such as augmented reality displays, head-up displays, mission computers, fly-by-wire flight controls, active inceptors, and other associated safety-critical technology.Relocation & Visa Support for overseas candidates can be provided, depending on candidates circumstances. What the role of the FPGA Engineer entails:Providing technical expertise in the development and delivery of PLD/FPGA development, from requirements development, concept and detailed design, coding VHDL, synthesis and through to complete verificationUnderstanding of PLD/FPGA design constraints & impacts on other engineering disciplinesManaging own tasks & the tasks of others within schedules and budgets to meet programme needsDelivering design artefacts in support of company standardsCoaching & developing the skills of junior team membersWhat experience you need to be the successful FPGA Engineer:Essential:Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualificationProven knowledge of FPGA technologies, development tools and techniquesExperience of working in an FPGA development teamDesirable:Experience of digital hardware design for FPGA using VHDLExperience and knowledge of video processing and control law algorithmsWorking knowledge and experience of UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) constrained random verificationCurrent SC Clearance and/or a background within UK aerospace & defence would be an advantageThis really is a fantastic opportunity for a FPGA Engineer to progress their career.
