Qualifications / Experience Experienced manager with FMCG Engineering Essential. Oversee manage and develop processes to ensure and improve the flow of work through the factory Oversee the management of Service work Manage engineering resource Report to directors Employee and manage additional engineers The Person You will manage the planning of the Engineering department with a hands on approached. You will develop and coordinate engineering works, related schedules and resources, skills, and materials needed to maintain installations and equipment to avoid or minimise disruptions in production. You will also support and oversee the service and spares department. Improving stock management and managing staff required for the service work accordingly. Roles & Responsibilities Direct involvement in ongoing projects Manage Engineering personnel including service and factory engineers and the projects / works Role is both office and factory based in Rochester Collaborate with Sales and produce production schedules, identify equipment involved and plan for resources, skills and materials Review plans with the Directors to validate feasibility. Communicate with the Stores person to monitor inventory of materials and equipment necessary for planned activities, focussing on pending installations. Monitor and report on activities and related costs versus plans and budgets Ongoing improvement and development of Engineering Standards and Engineering Compliance Policies Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive quality, cost, reliability, and safety performance.
