Job Description WelderBrampton on SwaleTemporary to permanent16.28 per hourWe are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Welder to join our steelworks client in the Brampton on Swale area. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with an immediate start available.What you'll be doing - Structural steel welding of plates and section on a production line up to 100mm thick.Capable of using MAG 135 process equipment to produce single, multi run fillets and butts welds in the down hand position.Capable of carrying out visual inspections on the finished welds in accordance with the specificationCorrect use of grinders and associated consumables whilst adhering to the HAVS regulationsDemonstrates commitment to HSEQ.Ensures that all relevant safe operating procedures are adopted in line with the company requirements.Works to production targets to ensure company deadlines are met.What we're looking for -Time served (or possess other equivalent qualifications) in MAG 135 manual welding.Experience of working with structural steel is essentialExcellent understanding of welding codes and standardsUnderstanding and use of overhead cranes and slinging techniquesStrong communication and problem-solving skills as well as good knowledge of production processes and systemsHours of work - Monday to Friday: 6am - 2:30pm, 40 hours per weekSaturday overtime available: 7am-12:30pm, paid at time and a halfWe're looking to speak to suitable candidates, if you're interested apply now and we'll be in touch!JDRLeedsIndWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
