Welder Brampton on Swale Temporary to permanent 16.28 per hour We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Welder to join our steelworks client in the Brampton on Swale area. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with an immediate start available. What you'll be doing - Structural steel welding of plates and section on a production line up to 100mm thick. Capable of using MAG 135 process equipment to produce single, multi run fillets and butts welds in the down hand position. Capable of carrying out visual inspections on the finished welds in accordance with the specification Correct use of grinders and associated consumables whilst adhering to the HAVS regulations Demonstrates commitment to HSEQ. Ensures that all relevant safe operating procedures are adopted in line with the company requirements. Works to production targets to ensure company deadlines are met. What we're looking for - Time served (or possess other equivalent qualifications) in MAG 135 manual welding. Experience of working with structural steel is essential Excellent understanding of welding codes and standards Understanding and use of overhead cranes and slinging techniques Strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as good knowledge of production processes and systems Hours of work - Monday to Friday: 6am - 2:30pm, 40 hours per week Saturday overtime available : 7am-12:30pm, paid at time and a half We're looking to speak to suitable candidates, if you're interested apply now and we'll be in touch!
