Job title: Qualified Occupational HygienistJob Type: ContractIR35 Status: InsideStart date: Immediate Duration: Up to December 2026 with likely extension beyond this date.Pay rate: £20.79-£25.98 per hour PAYE, Umbrella rates available.Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire Hours of work: Mon – FriApplicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:BOHS modules in M505 / 503 / 505 / 506 / 507 / 502Proven field experience conducting occupational hygiene assessments and authoring reports.Occupational Hygiene degree or Diploma: Certificate of Operational Competence ( BOHS)To be a current professional member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society Faculty of Occupational Hygiene at a minimum grade of Licentiate or Specialist Licentiate Grade (i.e. LFOH or LFOH(S)) or higherDesirable:CertOH (or active progression towards it)Experience with IAQ investigations, LEV assessments, and Legionella risk assessments.Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. BOHS or equivalent).Role information:Plan and undertake occupational exposure monitoring (e.g. dusts, fumes, vapours, gases, metals), including sampling strategy, instrument set-up, calibration, and field QA.Conduct workplace noise surveys in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations, producing clear, actionable recommendations.Carry out assessments for vibration (HAVS), COSHH, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), LEV performance checks, welding fumes, WBVs, thermal assessments and Legionella risk where competent.Analyse data, interpret results against WELs/EH40 and other relevant standards, and write concise, professional client reports.Provide pragmatic control advice (engineering, procedural, and PPE) and contribute to improvement plans.Liaise with our teams, schedule efficiently, and complete projects to agreed scopes, budgets, and deadlines.Maintain equipment, records, and quality documentation in line with ISO procedures and best practice.Working with the Health, Safety and Environment team to offer an integrated approach to health risk managementSpecialist knowledge of RPE / face fit testingGuiding the business on identifying, controlling, and verifying hazards, and recommending effective interventionsLeading health risk assessments and implementing robust monitoring programmes, analysing results and driving meaningful outcomesDesigning and delivering proactive health risk management campaigns and training programmes for operational teamsParticipating in project groups and forums to help shape best practice and drive engagementInterested in this position? please click “apply now”We try to respond to all applicants, but sometimes this is not possible due to high volumes of applications; if you have not heard from us within 14 days, regrettably it means you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.This vacancy is being advertised by Rullion Ltd acting as an employment businessSince 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands, to SMEs and start-ups.
