Job Description Full-time Mechanical EstimatorAbout the PositionMechanical EstimatorLocation: ReigateHours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pmMy clients seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team. The Mechanical Estimator will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical engineering, and construction estimating. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth of the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping projectsReview and analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine scope of work and material requirementsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimate accuracy and completenessDevelop detailed quantity takeoffs for mechanical components and systemsResearch and evaluate vendor quotes, pricing information, and historical data to determine accurate material and labor costsRequirements5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in the construction industryProficient knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and pipingStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction methodsExcellent skills in quantity takeoffs and cost analysisProficiency in estimating software (e.g., Trimble Accubid, McCormick Estimation, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skillsJBRP1_UKTJ
