Job Description We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer with a passion for civil structures to join our Infrastructure & Environment team at Waterman Group.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate to begin their career working on the design and delivery of bridge and structural engineering solutions across rail and wider infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced engineers while developing your technical and professional skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and analysis of bridges and civil structures for rail and infrastructure projectsSupport the delivery of engineering solutions in line with client requirements and project objectivesPrepare calculations, drawings and technical reports under supervisionWork in accordance with relevant standards, codes, and procedures (e.g. Eurocodes, Network Rail standards)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Attend site visits and assist with inspections where requiredContribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutionsAbout YouDegree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)Strong interest in civil structures, particularly bridges and infrastructureUnderstanding of structural behaviour and engineering principlesAwareness of relevant design standards and codes (desirable)Good communication and teamwork skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnStrong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesDevelopment & ProgressionYou will be supported through a structured training and development programme, working towards Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE).
