We are a privately owned provider with a clear vision to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.About the RoleThe Operations Director will report to the Board and provide strategic and operational leadership across Park Homes’ care homes. Drawing on your experience in the elderly care sector, you will develop high-performing home managers, ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and deliver outstanding service for our residents and their families. You will be responsible for the quality and financial performance of the region, working closely with support teams to achieve strategic goals and strengthen the organisation’s reputation.Key Responsibilities- Lead operational excellence: Provide leadership and strategic direction across our portfolio of care homes to ensure safe, high-quality care and hospitality for residents. Maintain consistent standards and support the integration of new homes into the group.- Develop and support home managers: Manage, develop and inspire Home Managers to build high-performing teams that achieve full compliance with CQC and other regulatory bodies. Work with Quality Partners, HR and training teams to provide coaching and mentoring.- Drive quality and compliance: Ensure all homes operate safely and effectively, meeting or exceeding CQC and legislative requirements. Recognise and address indicators of poor performance promptly.- Financial and business planning: Develop and monitor budgets, oversee regional P&L performance and report financial results to the board. Lead business planning for each home and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue growth.- Stakeholder engagement: Build productive relationships with commissioners, regulatory bodies, external professionals and local communities to promote Park Homes as the provider of choice. Act as an ambassador for the company, maintaining a strong reputation and securing new opportunities.- Innovation and continuous improvement: Foster a culture of excellence, compassion and continuous improvement. Identify areas for improvement and drive innovation to achieve outstanding outcomes.- Support growth initiatives: Contribute to the strategic development and integration of new homes, supporting organisational growth plans.Person Specification- Experience: Proven track record in a senior operational role within the care home sector, managing multiple homes or a regional portfolio. Demonstrable success in delivering high-quality care and financial results while maintaining compliance.- Qualifications: Leadership and management qualifications such as Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care; a nursing or social care background is desirable.- Business acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting and reporting with the ability to identify cost efficiencies and improvements.- Regulatory knowledge: In-depth understanding of CQC standards, health and safety legislation and industry best practice.- Leadership and communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams, build relationships and influence at all levels.- Innovation and improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvements, drive innovation and deliver outstanding outcomes.- Flexibility and travel: A valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between homes in Bradford and the surrounding region.What We Offer- Competitive salary of £80,000 per annum plus £10,000 performance-related bonus, subject to achieving agreed KPIs.- Company pension scheme, car allowance/vehicle and other benefits.- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.- Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development.- Opportunity to shape a growing care home group and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.
