Solution Architect - Point of Sale (POS) & Retail Tech Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Berkshire2 days per week onsiteUp to 100k DOE + 20% BonusWe are working with a leading consumer brand who are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with good experience in Point of Sale (POS) and retail technologies.The role offers extensive cross functional exposure, working across multiple business domains, and comes at a time of significant investment in technology as part of their global expansion and digital strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of high quality solution architecture across retail technology initiativesArchitect and support POS system integrations and upgrades, ensuring seamless operation across store environmentsOversee data migration, interface design, and integration with key backend systems including Oracle Retail, finance platforms, and other supporting servicesCollaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable technical designsEnsure solutions meet architectural principles, security standards, and long term maintainabilitySkills & ExperienceStrong background in retail technologies, including store systems and POS platformsProven experience in solution architecture, covering integration patterns, data flows, and system compatibilitySolid understanding of enterprise scale software environments and retail operational processesDesirable ExperienceMicroservices architecture, containerised environments, and modern integration patternsRFID capabilities, such as xjdpvnf inventory accuracy, stock management, or mobile/contactless checkoutSelf-checkout solution design and implementationSales transaction systems and complex retail payment flowsExperience working in global retail or multi-territory store operationsBenefits includePerformance bonusPrivate medical insurance10% PensionThe role required just 2 days per week onsite with easy access to transport links including direct trains (20 mins) from London plus convenient parking next to the office.
