Senior Quantity Surveyor We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a renowned main contractor. The business has a reputation for delivering landmark schemes across the UK with projects across the commercial, student accommodation, defence and education sectors valuing anywhere from 50mil - 500mil+. They are currently undertaking a huge defence scheme near Reading and are now looking to expand the commercial team. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor: As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working within the commercial team, managing major packages valuing up to 50mil. You will be reporting into a Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor: Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packages Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise Liaise with the clients teams Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development Key Requirements for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role: Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC Have experience managing projects of sizeable value from pre-construction through to final account Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC Experience working on MOD projects is beneficial but not essential For this position you MUST be a British national or hold dual citizenship. You must also be happy to commute to Reading.
