Job DescriptionMechanical Construction ManagerMEP Contracting / Building ServicesReadingA globally recognised construction and consultancy firm, known for delivering some of the most complex and high-profile projects across the healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors, is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager.The role is based on a major education and research project in Berkshire, with completion scheduled for 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to start in September.Responsibilities:Deliver the Mechanical package within a collaborative project team environmentManage and resolve MEP design issues using technical expertise and internal processesCoordinate subcontractors, sub-subcontractors, and suppliersOversee the interface and integration between MEP packagesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders, including the client and design/construction teamsIdentify and mitigate project risksSupport the projects commitment to net zero carbon goals by actively managing associated emissions and reductionsPackage & Benefits:Salary: 70,000-75,000Car Allowance: 6,000Annual Leave: 27 days + bank holidaysPrivate HealthcareGenerous Pension SchemeRequirements:Strong technical knowledge in Mechanical Construction managementExperience managing packages from pre-construction through to handoverFamiliarity with planning and scheduling tools, critical path management, and key release milestonesSolid understanding of health & safety (e.g. working at height, fire safety, lifting, logistics)Proficient in quality assurance and system commissioning, including Cause & Effect, BMS, and ISTRelevant qualifications: BTEC/HNC (or equivalent)Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS certificationFor more information, contact: [email protected]
