Role: Technical Product Owner Location: Reading, UK (100% Office) Contract Type: Contract (6 Months) Rate: £400/day (Inside IR35) Unit: UtilityAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to join our team. You will work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, align product development with architectural standards, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Vision & StrategyTranslate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.Align product development with architectural standards and long-term technology strategy.Stakeholder CollaborationAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.Communicate technical constraints and possibilities clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Sprint Planning & ExecutionParticipate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Ensure technical stories are well-defined, achievable, and prioritized.Quality & ComplianceOversee technical debt management.Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.Product Lifecycle OwnershipOwn specific components or features of the product.Guide the team through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Technical SkillsStrong software development knowledge.System architecture understanding, including microservices and cloud-native design.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.Ability to align product development with architectural and strategic standards.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience in sprint planning, backlog management, and agile delivery.Strong understanding of quality, compliance, and technical standards.Experience owning product components or features through full lifecycle.Knowledge of microservices, cloud-native design, and software development principles.Desirable SkillsExperience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern system architectures.Familiarity with technical delivery in agile teams, including DevOps practices.Note: This role is inside IR35 and the daily rate is £400/day.
